Pilates Practitioner
Alistair
trained at The Central School of Ballet before going on to enjoy
a career as a professional dancer. During the course of his
career he both danced and taught a multitude of styles, including
ballet, contemporary jazz and African dance as well as martial
arts and Pilates.
After
giving up performing, Alistair trained as a Pilates instructor
at Laban Dance Centre, where he taught Pilates to performance
dancers. Alistair has worked at The Practice in the role of
Pilates practitioner specialising in remedial Pilates since
2004. Alistair works closely with the clinical staff at The
Practice and is a highly regarded specialist Pilates Practitioner
in the area of high level and end stage rehabilitation with
dancers and recreational/elite athletes.
Alistair has continued to undertake training in Pilates with
Polestar Pilates and with the Pilates Foundation in classical
and remedial Pilates
In
his spare time Alistair practices Capoeira the Brazilian martial
art that is a mixture of dance, gymnastics and martial arts.
